What is Lefkada like?
Lefkada is an Ionian island joined to the mainland by a bridge, so you can drive there without a ferry. Its west coast is famous for white cliffs and vivid turquoise water, while the east coast is calm and sheltered, with bays and small islands. Vasiliki in the south is one of Europe's best-known windsurfing spots.
When is the best time to visit Lefkada?
May to October, ideally June and September. On windy days the west-coast beaches can be rough; switch to the east coast.
