Every kosher restaurant in Greece we found, with addresses and hours from official sources: Gostijo and Parakalo in Athens, Hashalom in Thessaloniki, Jerusalem in Rhodes and the Chabad tavern in Crete – plus what to do on islands without kosher food.
- Athens has three kosher restaurants: Gostijo (meat), Parakalo (dairy) and a dairy hotel restaurant near Monastiraki.
- Thessaloniki, Rhodes and Crete each have a kosher restaurant at the Chabad house. Mykonos – summer only.
- For other islands, order from Chabad's e-kosher.gr, 3–5 days ahead.

Supervision: Gostijo and Parakalo are supervised by Rabbi Mendel Hendel, Chabad's emissary in Athens. Gostijo is glatt kosher, with chalak Beit Yosef and bishul Yisrael. The Monastiraki Hotel restaurant is supervised by the Rabbinical Centre of Europe.

Kosher grocery and delivery across Greece
- A kosher grocery is in the Chabad building at Aisopou 10. It also sells Shabbat hot plates and urns.
- e-kosher.gr – Chabad Athens' shop and catering. Order ready meals and kosher products with delivery to the islands. According to Chabad, order 3–5 days ahead.
- This is the solution for Santorini, Paros, Naxos, Corfu or anywhere else without Chabad.
Kosher food in Thessaloniki

Kosher food in Rhodes
The Jerusalem meat restaurant is at the Chabad house in Ialysos (Leof. Iraklidon 84), with Shabbat and holiday catering too. Chabad of Rhodes warns that many tavernas on the island falsely claim to be kosher. Details: Chabad of Rhodes.
Kosher food in Crete
Chabad of Crete's kosher tavern is in Hersonissos, east of Heraklion, with a grocery and ready-made Shabbat food. We found no kosher restaurant in Heraklion or Chania. Details: Chabad of Crete.
Kosher food in Mykonos
Chabad of Mykonos serves kosher fast food and Shabbat and holiday meals to go, but only in summer. The 2026 season ended on 16 August.
Tips for eating kosher in Greece
- Check the supervision. A "kosher" sign is not a certificate. Eat where the supervision is one you accept.
- Order Shabbat food by Wednesday. Shabbat meals and catering are by advance order and fill up in summer.
- Pick a hotel with a kitchenette if you are far from a kosher restaurant, and order products from e-kosher.gr.
- Water: on Mykonos, according to the local Chabad, tap water is not drinkable. Buy bottled water.

Is there a kosher restaurant in Athens?
Yes. Gostijo (meat, glatt) at Aisopou 10 and Parakalo (dairy) at Mikonos 18, both in Psiri and supervised by Chabad. There is also a kosher dairy restaurant at the Monastiraki Hotel.
What are Gostijo's opening hours?
Sunday to Thursday 13:30–21:30, last order 21:00. It is closed on Shabbat; Shabbat meals are at the Chabad house by registration.
Is there kosher food on the Greek islands?
