24-hour civil aviation strike in Greece on 9 October
The Greek civil aviation staff federation has called a strike for Friday 9 October 2026. Anyone flying between Israel and Greece, or within Greece, that day should check their flight.

What we know
The federation of Greek civil aviation staff (OSYPA) decided unanimously, at a board meeting, to call a 24-hour strike on Friday 9 October 2026.
According to the federation, the strike is now "the only way", because issues it has raised for a long time remain unresolved.

The announcement does not say which airports will be affected, and no flight cancellations or delays have been announced. Airlines usually update passengers in the days before a strike.
