Route Adjustments in Central Athens
The Athens Urban Transport Organization has announced temporary partial modifications to the routes of several bus, trolley, and tram lines within the municipality of Athens. The changes will be in effect on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 06:00 AM until 12:00 PM.
Affected Lines and Services
The changes impact a wide range of municipal bus and trolley routes. Key lines arriving from various northern and southern suburbs, including lines 550, 608, and 622, will follow alternative diversions through central thoroughfares such as Patission Street and Alexandras Avenue. Several trolley lines will be split into two separate operating sections, or will turn around early at major city squares like Omonoia.
Additionally, tram line T6 will terminate its service at the FIX station. The transport authority notes that buses and trolleys operating on diverted segments will make use of existing bus stops belonging to other lines along their revised paths.
