What it means for you

Why does this matter to property owners and investors in Greece? The update streamlines tax reporting procedures during real estate transactions, minimizing manual data entry.

The Independent Authority for Public Revenue in Greece has introduced an automated procedure for updating property declaration forms (E9) during real estate transfers, gifts, and parental grants. Under the new decisions, land registry identification codes are transferred directly from online property transaction applications to the tax declaration form upon completion by the notary. The system automatically updates property details and ownership percentages based on existing data in the tax administration databases.
